Bad Customer Service: I won’t be Lied to again.

I do not advocate the Madea’s style of dealing with bad customer service, but I so agree that bad customer experiences are rampant these days. Reblogged on http://chicawrites.com

Today, I had a fairly bad customer service experience. I dropped off a prescription at the pharmacy. About an hour later, I received a message that they did not have the medication that was prescribed. In the message, the clerk said that they would be happy to find a pharmacy that carried what I needed. So far, so good, right?
I called the pharmacy to discuss the next step. A different clerk answered the phone. She said that they did not have the medicine. And then silence. . . There was no offer to help me any further. No suggestions for which pharmacy to call. I asked her “Would you be able to help me find it somewhere else?” She said that she could not help me. It’s fine that she was busy or whatever the reason for not helping me. However, she said “I wouldn’t even know what pharmacy…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon

The topic this week? Horizon. For me, that word always makes me think of what’s ahead, what to do next; but, inevitably the pictures that come to mind immediately are the glorious sunsets that we get to see in our “sunshine state” with such frequency, we almost take them for granted.

I love crossing bridges, not sure why; but many times over the last few years as I crossed over the Peace River bridge at the end of a hard work day, I would call our daughter Natalie to boast about the great sunset developing in front of me as I made my way home. I’d say things like “I just had to call to share with you what beautiful sunset and clouds and water, and blah, blah, blah I am looking at right now. Sometimes she’ll come back at me with a smart remark but more often than not we would have a laugh as we made comparisons to the weather she was experiencing at the time; it always seems at least ten degrees cooler in Atlanta.

Of course we will have conversations when the weather turns for the worse in Florida, but in the meantime…our sunsets (and sunrises) are the best!

Beautiful sunset!

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Hue of You

image

Not exactly my favorite color, I am a reds and oranges kind of girl. But this green “hue of me” has been following everywhere I go; especially after the abundant share of torrential rainshowers and thunderstorms we’ve experienced this Summer.  Not complaining, I much prefer rain to the usual hurricane warnings but all this lushness have my eyes and nose watering and sneezing like crazy! Can I say seasonal allergies?
Still…I love to see all this greenery around me. This is outside our church as we made our way to the car; you do have to give thanks for the big and little things in life!

For the purpose of this challenge I defer to Merriam-Webster‘s definition…enough said. LOL

I just read this on Twitter, so consider it a re-tweet? I just had to share. As a former manager in the retail banking business, I love the approach. Killing  them with kindness always works wonders!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Curves

The beauty of Louisiana State Cabildo in New Orleans, this architecture is on display throughout NOLA’s streets.

I took this shot from across the street at Jackson Square, of The Louisiana State Museum Cabildo during our recent visit to New Orleans. It was a beautiful night and we were out looking for a place to eat but could not resist stopping to take in the sight and snap a couple of pictures.

I must go back to this beautiful city ASAP!
