Day trip to Moss Park, in Orlando FL

Beautiful afternoon spent with the family enjoying nature, food and drinks. The best part? Family time!

Luckily for us no gator sightings, but a couple of Sandhill Cranes kept approaching our pavilion, too bad I didn’t get a picture.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, it speaks of the opulence enjoyed by the Vanderbilt family in days gone by. Today, it is a National Historic Landmark and one of North Carolina’s most popular tourist destinations and it is known as America’s largest home.

The home boasts a collection of artwork of more than 92,000 thousand items including works by Monet, Renoir and more. The tapestries alone are worth the visit.

The 250 room home’s construction began in 1889 and officially opened to family and friends in 1895.

My favorite animal

I am by far a dog person, there’s always been one in most phases of my life; beginning when I was a young child when there were times we had two or more dogs competing with me and my four siblings, to my parents exasperation 🤣.

These days, after retirement I content myself by being available when needed to babysit my grandchildren (no longer babies) and our furry grand baby a Shih Tzu named Suede.

Playful and feisty, he thinks he is a guard dog, Whoof!

Pets are part of the family they are loved 🥰 and cherished and they can sense how you feel about them; you cannot fool them. We love our little “Suede”, whoof!
