Weekly Photo Challenge: Create

Orlando Museum of Art

Perfect! I was wondering how to use these pictures I took a couple of weeks ago during one of my many visits to Orlando. Lately, I am on a quest to find things to do that have nothing to do with the usual (Disney, Universal) Orlando attractions. So on this weekend, we happily headed to the Orlando Museum of Art to take in the latest exhibits. Naturally, they did not allow pictures taken inside the museum, but I had enough material to keep me busy with the sculptures that adorn its entrance. And, as a bonus the “Orlando International Fringe Festival” was going on outdoors, right on the grounds of the museum. Food, art and strange sightings. Who am I to complain? LOL

On the fringe? Festival performers…

That was so relaxing, let’s go home now

The creative folks abound all around us!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Close

This week’s photo challenge “Close” has the potential to take on many lives. I’ve missed posting during the last two challenges mostly because I was spending time with our granddaughters; after a day of “toddler chasing” and getting real close to the ground, the last thing I wanted to do was sit to post anything. I thought about it every day, but the energy was not there. Instead, I chose to enjoy every minute possible with the girls, and cherish the closeness.

A family that eats together…stays together? LOL

One of the things I love about SW Florida, I never know what I’ll find outside my door on a given day. This family of White Ibis, made itself quite comfy a few days ago. I love it!

I know there are some worms in there, let’s find them!

It is all about teamwork, together we conquer. Close real close…

Weekly Photo Challenge: Summer

Let the party begin!

This week’s photo challenge makes me feel as if I am cheating; because life in SW Florida usually feels like permanent summer. They do not call us the “sunshine state” without reason. LOL

Life is a beach, or a river as in this case…

Our temps hover somewhere between the 70 and the plus 90 degrees most of the year, with occasional extreme highs and lows in between; this is sometimes peppered with thunder storms, hurricanes, high winds and who knows what else nature wants to bring our way. But mostly, we enjoy beautiful weather, out of this world sunrises and sunsets, and some of the best beaches you can find anywhere. Not complaining!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Blue

I missed the “Blue” weekly photo challenge, so here is my belated contribution. LOL

Blue made me think of my hubby, as this is his favorite color. Shirts, cars and other assorted blue items quickly came to mind. I thought of gathering a few of his shirts (there are a lot of them in various shades of blue) along with pictures of his cars but then quickly tossed that idea aside and came up with this instead.

Blue house at the foot of the bridge in Punta Gorda, FL

I love the way this little house looks; anytime I go over the bridge I see images of me in a little house such as this one, only at the beach.
